The Eminence in Shadow Review
The Eminence in Shadow starts i would say pretty standard, the protagonist “Cid” is a person that likes to be alone, it likes to be the background character that no one cares, but in reality he is very skillfull.
In the first episode, the plot centers around a high school celebrity that is trying to be the model student.
We can see a glimpse of what happen to be a kidnap when she was younger and left her a little traumatized by that event.
The girl and Cid
As a celebrity and his father being a high status guy, she ended up being kidnaped when she was walking home and the last person she saw at the distant was Cid.
She wakes up on a warehouse with 2 guys, one guys tries to “have fun” with her and then someone shows up.
A random dude jumped from a window a start beating the shit out of that guy, after finishing him, the other guy ex-soldier confronts him.
We know this is Cid fighting these guys and there is no a real motive to save the kidnaped girl, its more that he was to prove himself on how good he is.
Maximum Power
Cid has been training all his life to reach the “maximum power” but knows he will never get what he wants in this “world” (this is a isekai anime btw).
After saving the girl, next day everything is like nothing happened, and some time after Cid is killed in a accident.
Now at the end of the episde we jump into the isekai part of the anime.
Final thoughts The Eminence in da Shadows
I thought that this introduction to an isekai was pretty good and hook me right up.
I started watching the serie today and now i’m on episode 10 lol.
